Building Integrated Timing Supplies (BITS), also known as Sync Supply Units (SSU), distribute precise time, frequency and phase synchronization to legacy and next-generation equipment in telco central offices so voice, video and data traffic are transported reliably and efficiently throughout the network.  Modular Distribution Systems fill the same role in smaller offices, and at remote sites at the network edge.
